Udupi Palace, a South Indian Vegetarian Restaurant renowned for its Dosas, added Chaats three years ago. “Even though the menu has so many options, people will say, “Okay, what will you give us that’s different this time?” explains co-owner Hubert D’Mello Udupi Palace lists six Chaats on a hand written menu posted on the wall. Yet another wall menu lists two more- Tokri Chaat (which bring french fries and papdums into the mix) and samosa Chaat “Earlier we used to have Chaats only on weekends, but there’s a lot of demand for it now,” notes D’Mello.
